Matthew Falconer has been faithfully married to his wife Cheri for 22 years and lives in West Orange County with his wife and children Michael and Chrystie. Matthew’s reason for entering the political arena was to help small business survive and prosper.
Author of two books on public policy, his last book “Building a Better Local Government: How to Lower Taxes and Improve Services at the Same Time” received acclaim from groups across Florida.
Matthew was appointed by Florida House Speaker Dean Cannon to the Florida “Government Efficiency Task Force” whose mission is to reduce government spending by $3 billion a year.
Matthew’s hard work on the “Government Efficiency Task Force” was recognized by Governor Rick Scott who appointed Matthew to “Workforce Florida” to reform the state’s unemployment agency into a re-employment agency. Matthew has pledged to study reforms in all 50 states and make Florida’s the best re-employment agency in the nation.
Matthew Falconer has also served on the Board of trustees for St. Luke’s Church and is active raising money for charity through Rotary. Matthew organized a charity event raising money for “A Gift for Teaching” that provides free school supplies for teachers.
Like the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self,” Matthew Falconer pledges to put the interest of taxpayers above special interests.
