QUALIFICATIONS

Politicians make policy. It is the only product they produce. The most important qualification of any politicians is the understanding of the consequences of their policy. I understand the effects of policy on the taxpayer, small business and our economy. Critical thinking skills are the most important quality of any leader. I am qualified to make policy.

Beyond my ability to forecast the effects of policy, I have studied the waste and inefficiency in Orange County government more than anyone. Our Taxpayer Budget Review Board study researched best practices from around the world and suggested $1.126 billion in annual savings in Orange County government. I will soon publish a book entitled “Building a Better Local Government” to enable others to use our findings. The second most important qualification of any leader is the willingness to accept our system is not working. We need a course correction.

My professional background gives me experience from the taxpayer’s perspective in almost every aspect of government. I hold a general contractor’s license, a real estate broker’s license, and a commercial pilot’s license. I graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach with a degree in aeronautical science and business management, and I have used the discipline and critical thinking skill all pilots must possess in my business practice.

I moved to Florida in 1995 to pursue the American Dream. I now own 17 commercial properties with 130 small business tenants. My goal now is to fix our broken system of government so our children have the same opportunities we did. I am not a politician, I am a reformer. Now more than ever we need a reformer in elected office.

I am by far the most qualified candidate running for Orange County Mayor to reform local government and make it once again serve the taxpayer.
